Ali Gala 3:4 Female 1

[Ali = elephant, Gala = rock]

Ali Gala 3:4 female 1 was sighted and first photographed for identification in July 2014, at the Ākāsa Chethiya road, as a mature female. She was living around Ali Gala, Ākāsa Chethiya, and Sathmaga at that time.

Somewhere in 2016, she had a litter of two female cubs around Ali Gala, which were first seen and photographed in November 2016. Those cubs are the Ali Gala 3:4 female 2 and the Ali Gala 4:3 female.

She was noted to be fairly shy and was easily distinguishable from the rest because she had lost half of her left ear lobe. In June 2018, she was seen around Ali Gala with another two cubs. Unfortunately, those two cubs did not survive.

Late 2018 was the last known sighting of this female.
