[Koti = leopard, Gala = rock]
Kotigala 3:2 female was first photographed as a cub in October 2015, near Tanki Gala and Boralu Wala of the Main Road near Kotigala. She was a fairly confident female even at that young age.
In April 2017, she was seen with the Tanki Gala 1:2 female, but what their relationship is, isn’t clear as of yet.
She has been seen at Tanki Gala, Jamburagala Road, Banda Wala, and Kotigala.
Somewhere in 2018/19, she gave birth to her first litter, who is the Wilapalawa 2:3 male. This male became one of the most famous leopards in Yala and eventually he moved towards th Sithulpawwa road and Ondaatje bungalow area.
In 2021 she was seen with another male cub, Banda Wala 2:2 Male. This male cub was a shy in nature and its sightings were rare. And in June 2024 Kotigala Female was seen with another cub.
